Congratulations to fellow graduates of our Acting for Film & Television program who reaped awards at the Phrike Film Fest – 72 Hour Film Competition this weekend!
Out of 40 submissions and 13 finalists in the new local festival, their film Elements received 5 nominations (Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Cinematography, Best Director and Best Film), and took home a $5,000 award for BEST FILM plus BEST ACTOR for VanArts grad (and Actor/Director) Georgie Daburas! The award-winning team consisted of other VanArts grads Avery Crane, Christa Andersen, Everrett Shea and Thomas Nicholson.
Head of Acting for Film & TV Chilton Crane celebrated with the team after receiving their cash prize and two Goblin Awards, doing VanArts proud!
