Students in our full-time Acting program recently began their course work in partnership with the Vancouver Police Department, as a way to help train officers to navigate through tense scenarios like suicide jumpers and hostage situations. Our students first worked with their instructors in class doing improv exercises and character studies, before heading over to police headquarters to work with the officers. Through a series of intense improvised scenes, both the police and students got to practice their respective professions, and the officers expressed their amazement and gratitude for the powerful, moving work exuded from our students.
Meet our Acting students and faculty at their public performance next weekend, and contact our admissions department to learn more about the program.
