Have you always dreamed of living and studying in the UK in addition to Canada? Fear not, it can be done!
VanArts is happy to announce that University of Gloucestershire, our university partner in the UK, has added a new set of degree pathway options for our graduates. Traditionally, our partnership has allowed our graduates in Game Art & Design, Web Development, Broadcasting and Photography to apply for advanced standing in continued study towards BA Honours degrees at U of G, completing their degree in 2 years.
Now, students who graduate from Acting for Film & Television or 2D/3D Character Animation at VanArts are also eligible to apply for continued study towards BA Honours degrees in Performing Arts* or Drama, or in Animation respectively. Also, graduates from Digital Photography have an additional major in Editorial and Advertising available, in addition to the traditional Photojournalism and Documentary Photography major. Just this week, U of G’s Study Abroad Coordinator Shandin Rickard-Hughes was in town and visited VanArts to meet with some of our current students interested in these pathway opportunities.
This is all good news for anyone who wants a global educational experience, combining studies in Canada and the UK towards a path that can open many doors in the industry!
As another facet of our partnership with University of Gloucestershire, we are looking forward to having a group of their photography students join us in March for a collaborative project here in Vancouver! We’ll be sure to post some pictures and updates of our visitors’ Canadian adventure so keep an eye on our social channels.
Visit our pathway page for more details on these opportunities.
*Note: The Performing Arts option for Acting graduates is for advanced standing into the 3rd and final year of the BA (Hons) degree, starting as of September 2016.
