Photographers unite! VanArts and our degree pathway partner University of Gloucestershire (Ed & Ad Photo) have finally caught our collective breath after hosting a successful event in London UK: Photography: A Visual Language.
A full day of discussion on photography was held at London’s Natural History Museum, featuring panels and presentations by our own Head of Digital Photography Ian McGuffie and industry professionals from the United Nations of Photography. Here Ian shares the stage with noted photographers Marc Wilson, Brian David Stevens, and Matthew Murray.
Attendee Helen Trompeteler, Curator of Photography at London’s National Portrait Gallery and Fellow of the Centre of Creative Photography at the University of Arizona had this to say about the event: “Photography: A Visual Language was a fascinating and insightful series of talks covering multiple genres of photography including music, portraiture, landscape and documentary practices. What I was particularly struck by was not only the impressive diversity and quality of the speakers, but also the open and relaxed atmosphere throughout the day, which really encouraged all those attending to connect and engage with the themes discussed.”
