VanArts has just signed an articulation agreement with the Vancouver campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) for a new degree pathway partnership. While there are several international degree pathway options available to our grads, this is the first local pathway, and from all eight of our professional diploma programs. FDU was founded in 1942 in New Jersey, USA with branch campuses in Wroxton, England and Vancouver, BC.
Through this degree pathway, VanArts graduates will be able to earn 45-60 credits of a 120 credit degree program, or 1.5 to 2 years of advanced standing towards a Bachelor of Arts in Individualized Studies (BAIS). After completing a specialized diploma from VanArts plus the BA degree from FDU, international students can apply for a 2 to 3 year work permit, which may lead to permanent residency or Canadian citizenship.
VanArts President Alan Phillips, pictured here signing the agreement with Fairleigh Dickinson’s campus Provost Dr. Cecil A. Abrahams, is very excited about this partnership and looks forward to welcoming many more students from around the world. “This is a historic day for VanArts, and an exciting opportunity for our students” says Phillips.
Says Dr. Abrahams, “We are truly delighted to have VanArts as our partner and we look forward to serving your students very well.“
